April is Rosacea Awareness Month, so it seemed like to perfect time to dive in and answer the question, ‘What is rosacea?’ 🤔 Many of my clients don’t even realise they have rosacea. They come to see me concerned about their red face or the fact that they always look hot and flushed, even though they don’t feel it. What a difference from rosacea treatment!! Rosacea can be a pain in the arse (there is no other way of saying it!). Okay let’s just say it, there are TOO many skincare products out there. You may have often looked at your skin and wondered ‘Why do I have red skin?’ ‘Why is my skin so sensitive?’ If you have, you may have rosacea and if it goes untreated, it can lead to permanent damage. What is rosacea? Rosacea is a common skin condition which usually occurs on the face and predominantly affects fair skin but may affect all skin types in people aged 40 to 60 years old. It is more common in women but when affecting men, it may be more severe. It is a chronic condition, and can persist for a long time and, in any individual, the severity tends to fluctuate.
